Good to know

Can I change the existing text?

No. A PDF stores text as letters placed at exact positions, not as editable paragraphs, so rewriting it reliably isn't possible in the browser. To replace a word, cover it with White-out and add new text on top.

Is White-out safe for hiding private information?

No. White-out only covers text visually; the original text is still inside the file and can be copied or extracted. Don't use it to hide sensitive information.

Which characters can I type?

Basic Latin characters (English and most Western European languages) for now.
